So we went for a walk down by the gulf and as we are walking along we see this monster swimming up a canal. They are so huge is it unbelievable, probably hard to tell in this short video but this thing is probably 10′ long and my understanding is that they weight around 1,000 lbs!!
We have decided we are going to do the kayak thing in the next couple of weeks where you can kayak out into the gulf and be with the Manatee. There are also groups that will take you out and you are allowed to snorkel with them!
We were told by one of the local kayak rental guys that last year there were 500 Manatees in the area where you can swim with them!!
